 Why plant trees?

Trees have been quietly offsetting these carbon emissions for centuries, converting carbon dioxide into the oxygen we need for life.  Trees help regulate the local climate, produce oxygen, improve soil quality, attract wildlife, and absorb CO2! In terms of climate change mitigation, planting tropical moist forests soaks up an average of about 26 tons of carbon dioxide per hectare per year for at least 20 years.Large-scale reforestation could make a huge dent in carbon emissions.
